Effectiveness of ceramics chair-side polishing – 2D and 3D roughness evaluation

Objectives: Considering the need for intraoral polishing of zirconia restorations, this in vitro study aimed to 1) evaluate 2D and 3D surface roughness different types ceramic after their finishing 2) compare three techniques using kits. Methods: Seventy-two specimens were obtained from two 3Y-TZP zirconia. After sintering, a layer glass-based fluorapatite veneering was applied over 24 one ceramics. Kruskal-Wallis Mann-Whitney U tests used (α=0.05). Results: did not significantly (p=0.514) affect Anterior. Regarding zirconia-specific allowed higher Sa Ra than (p=0.004 p<0.001). ceram- ic, led (p<0.001), but no significant results found 3D. Conclusions: set showed best Zirconia ceramic, differences
